Welcome

Hi and welcome to the blog of Robeccer Mclean. This blog is to keep you updated on my thoughts, experiences and recent works. I reside in Canberra, Australia with my 3 little kiddies, Hubbie and groodle KOKO. I frequently travel for weddings and love to photograph anything to do with people from beautiful bellies, babies, weddings, families and more.

I feel I am hear to document your story and life's moments, whether it be a special happy occasion, milestone or life's ups and downs.I like to think of my style as relaxed, emotional, natural, stylish and artistic. I hope this blog gives you some insight into my personality and how much I love what I do.

So sit back, relax, grab a cuppa and tim tam and experience the joy that I feel going to work everyday..

National AIPP Awards (Canberra photographer)

Last weekend saw the Judging for the National AIPP awards held in Sydney, I couldn’t make it up to watch the judging but entered 4 prints, 2 in portrait and 2 in wedding open.

I just received my case back this morning, enclosed were 3 certificates stating that I had won 3 sliver awards…I am so excited!! The awards are extremely difficult and they just don’t award any pretty image.

Thank you to all the amazing people I have worked with this year, who trust me and allow me to try new things and to make their images truly unique. I am so blessed to have such wonderful customers :)

Claire and Michael…we were having some fun with the props that we found in the shed…A play on the American gothic lol!

Cherry Seed (Canberra advertising and product photography)

I am soo lucky today, I got to step back into my favorite shop, The Cherry Seed out at Gold Creek village:)

I was there to photograph some of Belinda’s gorgeous children’s party items for her lolly pop parties.

Everything is done so beautifully from her table settings, old fashioned lollies and OF course her divine cupcakes!! If you’re looking for a party for your child (or yourself) that is a little different and filled with loads of homemade gorgeousness then this is for you.
Belinda you’ll be pleased to know that all 6 cupcakes have been devoured ( one by me lol). YUMMY!!!

Eva from Baby Giraffe to little princess (Canberra Children’s photographer)

You may remember the Photograph I took last year of the baby on the giraffe. Well That little baby has now grown into the most gorgeous princess. I feel so honored to document such precious times in a families life. In this case I took photos of Lidia while she was pregnant, when Eva was just 6 weeks old and now she is a 1 year old bubbly little person. We had so much fun yesterday!!

Thank you Lidia for allowing me to come back into your gorgeous family again and a BIG thank you to Nonna (Eva’s grandma) for making us the most DIVINE Italian bread.

Off the computer/ renovations

Hi everyone,

Well the renovations have started on the studio, I can’t wait to share the new space with you all :)

Tomorrow the man with the jack hammer is coming to get rid of all the concrete that was holding our slate in to make way for gorgeous new tiles. So that means I have to turn the computers off and pack it away so concrete dust dosen’t get into them.

I will be off the puter for a couple of days. So if you need me for anything just shoot me a text or give me a call on PH: 0412084415 I would love to chat :)

Talk to you soon

Gorgeous new products (Canberra photography)

The last 2 weeks I have ordered some beautiful new products to add to my collection.

The first is a range of portrait proof boxes, they come wrapped in Canvas or silk with either 40 6×4inch images or 20 5×7 inch images individually mounted. They can be designed with any colour or image on the cover.

The second, I just love is called and Icebloc. You get to choose 2 images to mount back to back in either a 6×4inch, 5×7inch or 6×8inch. The images get mounted into arcylic so you can sit it on your mantal, coffee table or anywhere that you would put a normal frame. The images are also printed onto fine art paper.

A another beautiful way to display those precious family photos :)
