Linh- My beautiful Vietnamese friend ( Sunshine Coast wedding photographer)

I had a day free while Anthony was working so of course I couldn’t resist myself in doing a fashion shoot in the crazy city of Hanoi.

Linh has never had her photo taken professionally before and couldn’t understand much english but that didn’t matter she was such a natrual in front of the camera.

A BIG thank you to Julia who currently lives over there for organising this for me.

Enjoy the sneak peak of the beautiful Linh :)

Kim Hoa and Lachlan 5th December 2009 (Sunshine Coast/ Canberra wedding photographer Adori Studios)

On Saturday I had the beautiful wedding of Kim Hoa and Lachlan. Held at The Canberra Baptist Church in Kingston followed by a beautiful cocktail lunch at Pialligo Estate Winery.
Even though we had photos at midday there was a really slight veil of clouds which slightly diffused the harsh sun.
There was so much emotion and was so hard for me to choose just a few images to put on the blog.
So here are just some of my favourites…

Rebecca and Dan revisit their wedding day ( Robeccer McLean Canberra wedding photographer)

On Saturday I had a blast with Rebecca and Dan and their wild bride shoot!

It was so nice to also have the groom involved!  We trampsed around Canberra in their wedding attire all in an effort to get some creative and arty images.  I love to do these shoots, its a great way for a couple to let their hair down after the the hectic organising of their wedding and before the dress goes into the dry cleaners.

What a fantastic and glamourous way to remember such a wonderful time in your life.

Thankyou Rebecca and Dan for giving me creative freedom, you guys rock!!

Thankyou to Masha for helping and being my detail spotter

And last but not least to The Parlour Room for allowing us in the take some gorgeous vintage style photos in their fabulous bar www.parlour.net.au

Sonia the Wild Bride (Canberra wedding photographer)

The beginning of this year I shot Sonia and Steve’s wedding which saw me take out a silver award for her less then conventional wedding photograph, well today we decided to go out and have some more fun!! These shoots are sometimes called trash the dress shoots, but I don’t like to call them that as we don’t trash the dress and they are far more glamorous!
I like to call them my “Wild Bride” shoots, its where a bride (and sometimes their groom) can let down their hair after their wedding and get funky and creative, doing things they might not get a chance to do on their wedding day.

Cakes good enough to eat! ( Canberra Weddings)

Lately I have seen the most amazing wedding cakes, so I thought I would share some inspiration with you!
I Love this site “Pink Frosting”. They have some great inspiration for weddings and have a sister site called “Australia Entertains”, I came across this amazing cake from “Polka Dot Cookies and Cakes” In Sydney

This Poppy Cake is a masterpiece in itself.

They also make place card cookies. What a fabulous quirky idea for your wedding favors or bomboniere.

For all you brides betting married in the next 2 months in Canberra, what could be more appropriate then a Cherry Blossom theme, especially if you are getting married in Nara Garden’s.

Here is a cake and table setting by Amy Atlas Events in New York.

In Canberra I seem to photograph heaps of weddings whom have had Cakes of your Dreams make their cakes, they have such endless inspiration when it comes to their cakes, with their funky couple cakes proving to be very popular. Also The Cherry Seed at gold Creek who make the most divine cupcakes.
Here are a few gorgeous cakes that I have photographed;
